GCAC - PROFILE
From it inauguration on the 27th December 1989, the Gozo School of Art, now known as the Gozo Centre for Art and Crafts is continuously thriving to promote art, crafts and artisans on the island. Proof of this is the continuous encouragement we get from the Department of Further Studies and Adult Education regarding the numerous courses organized in the various disciplines of Art and Crafts.

The Ministry for Gozo decided to boost further our school by extended to it a Crafts Development Center. This will serve as an Incubation Center for local crafts and artisans. This measure will definitely help the industry itself as well as giving the necessary training one needs in marketing so as to enter in the trade field.

This is a golden opportunity to amalgamate the art and crafts with I.T. since the Ministry for Gozo will be sponsoring web space for those students who wish to market the artifacts created through our tutoring. And what better way of advertisement is there nowadays if not the internet? This shows that through I.T., the world has become one small village. Our small nation can ride the crest of the information super highway to be exposed to the whole world.
